After dinner, it is sometimes a good idea to wash the baby.
This baby happens to fit perfectly in the bathroom sink.
He discovered that if he splashes ferociously
then rubs really fast,
the counter is hilariously slippery!
This is really, really fun.

Iris said:
“If you are taking pictures of Akiva in the sink,
then you have to take a picture of me in the shower.”
Usually a semi-nudist, she got dressed for the occasion.
Iris drew a picture on the mirror with glass-crayons.
Butternut squash in the sunshine. A giant knife comes to cut it.
The lines coming out of the bottom of the knife are its sharpness.
Later she drew a fence to keep the bunnies out
and snowflakes falling from the sky.
—said Iris when I went downstairs after putting Akiva down for a nap.
So I got a couple logs, sang two lines of a tune,
and when I turned back around, she was fast asleep.
She slept for four hours.
Apetite.
Amazingly, between the tremendous size of the high-chair tray
and the gasket-like quality of the silicone bib,
practically nothing got on the floor.
My 98-year-old grandmother sat on the floor to play with my zero-year-old baby.
He was charming.
She adored him.

Not until the year 2113 will he have the chance to hold one so different in age.
